Welcome to Coloma Catahoulas. I am located east of Sacramento, California and own three catahoulas: Arrow A's Sadie, Coloma's Lucky Strike, and Coloma's Jezebel. My catahoulas are part of the family here but they do get the opportunity to go out and do a variety of work. I have practiced hog baying, cow herding, treeing, obedience, agility, and protection work with my dogs. I believe in breeding for working drive and ability while also keeping the conformation of the catahoula for an all-around sound dog. All dogs are BAER (hearing) and CERF (eyes) tested, hip tested (OFA/PennHIP), and evaluated for working drive and conformation. I have had catahoulas since 1996 and have attended NALC shows and trials since 1997. My line has a lot of natural cow dog instincts that I am very proud of. Sadie has won High Point Female and first place in cow trials. Her offspring, have also done well. Both her daughters, Lucky and Tawny, have each won High Point twice, Reserve High Point twice, and a first place. Her son, Trick, has three High Points and a first place in cow trials. Grandson, Gold River's Midnight, has a High Point Male and Reserve High Point Male from Mississippi. Granddaughter, El Dorado's Billie Jean is now a cow dog champion. Many of the California catahoulas that have won individual awards in the southern NALC cow dog trials have been related to my foundation female, Arrow A's Sadie.
