NALC Grand Champion Coloma's Lucky Strike

Lucky is ten years old now. She has turned out to be quite a natural cowdog! Lucky already has over 70 points in working cow trials and is one first place away from a Cow Dog Championship. She has won two High Point female awards along with two Reserve High Point Female awards in California, and two Reserve High Point Females in Louisiana and Mississippi with a lot of competition. Her dam is Sadie and her sire is NALC Grand Champion of Champions Lee's El Nino. She has been hip tested with an OFA score of "Good" with elbows rated "Normal". Lucky's PennHIP distraction score of .38/.42 puts her in the 80th percentile of all catahoulas tested. She has also been BAER and CERF tested. Lucky is quite intense with a lot of drive and has been baying hogs and working cattle well. She has place points in all NALC working events - baying (both A-bay & B-bay), treeing, cow trials, obedience, and conformation. Lucky also has several High Point/Reserve High Point Female awards in various working events.  She has completed her requirements for an NALC Show Championship easily winning two Best in Show Female awards and taking three firsts in very large major classes (20+ catahoulas). Lucky won Grand Champion of Champions last year which is only offered once a year at our NALC Nationals in Louisiana.  She has placed three times in the national "Top Ten" A-Bay runs and received the High Point Female for her run in that event at the Nationals (April 2006).  Lucky was ranked 8th (out of 129 entries) in A-Bay for the 2006-2007 year. She ranked 3rd (out of 106 entries) for the 2007-2008 year.
Lucky is a first place away from being a Treeing Champion and one qualifying score away from being an Obedience Champion. Pretty amazing considering the only "practice" she gets is at a show!  She also is a UKC Grand Champion in conformation.
